I'm convinced whether you like Yard House or not depends on your feelings about large chains. Chain guy says, "cool place, good food, great beer." Local guy says "too busy, too expensive." Personally I agree with both.
It's a really cool place with great beer and food and the service is great. I love trying all the new beers and think it has a great layout and a high cool factor. However, it's at the mall so it's very busy on the weeken and can be a little expensive since a small batch craft brew from California costs more than a mass produced beer from Colorado.
Personally, I think they've got great food, drink, and ambiance, I'll just avoid going Friday night. -

Came here for an early dinner on Sunday. It was DEAD even considering there was a Sunday night football game on. I was a little disappointed there was no Sunday happy hour. Most bars/restaurants have started to do happy hour on Sundays, especially during football season. Considering the restaurant was dead, they should consider. We really wanted Oktoberfest and thankfully they were going to start the next day (Monday, the first day of fall) but they had already tapped into the kegs so we were able to get some. That was cool. The food was delicious. The cheese curds never disappoint and my favorite, moo shu egg rolls. Their entrees don't really appeal to me but there have good starters, salads and small plates.
I have to take off 2 stars because of the price and service. It's not worth what you get. 4 measly coconut shrimp for $15. Maybe during HH?? And the service sucks now that they have those little electric order/pay stations. It seems like waiters aren't as attention now that they have that to fall back on. And there's less reason to leave a good tip when the computer does half of the job. -

DISAPPOINTING ZERO STARS
Went here because we were going to a movie at the theater in the same mall !
I personally had the Roast beef dip sandwich my uncle had the tuna steak grandma Cobb salad and aunt had wings I don't know about those 3 but I was highly disappointed in the food my sandwich was cold and the Au jus was so cold their was a film over it about the only thing that was passable were the French fries I personally will not be back to the yard house However I will complement our server who kept the drinks coming and checked up on us often they deserve a round of applause
Ps the place smelled of urine vomit and vinegar needs a good cleaning I don't know if this was from the hot wings or someone losing their lunch but just one more reason I wish I could give ZERO STARS -

Well i was extremely ecstatic to hit up this place since its one my favoritest happy hour spots! I feel like i prepped all day for it. I had it all planned out. I was gonna get my usual happy hour favorites like the spinach dip, jamaican jerk wings, and maybe something new like their pizza or sliders. I was ready!
I was crushed when we saw the menu. Jamaican jerk wings were NOWHERE to be found. Why would they discontinue this?!?!?! I was beyond disappointed. They didnt even have the sauce offered to even make it as an off the menu option. I just died a lil inside. :'(
Very well. I shall try to carry on. Thank god the spinach dip hasnt gone anywhere. I tried to consider some other kind of protein that would be a good alternative. I decided on the ahi tuna. Sounded promising.
Because i have been deprived of that spinach dip, i was very happy at first to eat it! Only soon to realize there was barely any cheese to it and it was mostly this weird green paste with a cheese flavor instead. Some of the pita chips were also stale which bummed me out. As for the tuna...revolting. It had such an off putting yaste i could not continue.
Luckily we also orderd the tri tip sammy which was delish to eat. They couldnt finish it so i helped lol. We also tried the queso fundido with bacon. It was gross. Something about the flavors did not settle well at all.
Would i got back if i was in tucson again? Maybe maybe not. This was a very sad lasting impression compared to the glorious versions i have always known with my cousins back in Cali. -

I always have the best time at the yard house. Depending on what you get the prices can be kind of steep, salads can come out to 17-20 dollars. But their happy hour is superb and the atmosphere easily makes this one of my favorite places to go. Some of my favorite things to get here are the chicken nachos (massive portion) and I love the wide variety of beers.
